What is Ivy on 14th?
It’s a high-quality Milwaukee apartment community designed especially with Marquette University students in mind. Ivy on 14th features a variety of spacious, furnished apartments plus a full set of community features such as a 24-hour fitness center, parking garage and street-level restaurants, all just across the street from the MU campus.

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?
You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.
What are per-person contracts?
Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Ivy on 14th has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.
What is included in the rent?
Each resident at Ivy on 14th pays a flat rate that includes:
- Flat-panel HDTV in living room
- High-speed Internet
- Trash removal
- Community features – fitness center, clubroom, etc.
What size are the residences at Ivy on 14th?
The spacious accommodations at Ivy on 14th range from studios to 4-bedroom floorplans, with available private bathrooms.
Are the apartments furnished?
Yes, all apartments at Ivy on 14th have a furniture package, which varies based on floorplan. Furnishings include a full-size bed, storage dresser, desk and chair in each bedroom, plus a loveseat and/or sofa, coffee table, 40-inch TV and entertainment stand in each living room. When do the contracts start and end?
The standard term is August 20, 2019 to July 29, 2020, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Other alternate dates may be available; please inquire with our staff.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Ivy on 14th also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.
Will my financial aid cover charges at Ivy on 14th?
Your living costs at Ivy on 14th can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Ivy on 14th. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.
Is Ivy on 14th open to non-students?
Nearly all the residents at Ivy on 14th are students at Marquette University, with some from MATC. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, Ivy on 14th is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Family members are welcome as well, subject to occupancy limits. Because of the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply together with enough roommates to fill the desired residence.
What kind of safety and security are provided?
Ivy on 14th has a monitored fire sprinkler system, plus electronic locks and individually locking bedroom doors.
What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?
Ivy on 14th will be pet-friendly starting Fall 2019. The community is smoke-free in all indoor areas. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.
Can I park my vehicle at Ivy on 14th?
Ivy offers optional parking in our heated, attached parking garage for an additional charge.
What other transportation options will I have?
Ivy on 14th is located across the street from the Memorial Union and just steps from the MU campus and multiple restaurant and entertainment options. Five MCTS bus routes also stop within two blocks of the community.
